FAQs
What is an employment advocate?
An employment advocate is a non-lawyer who can represent you through employment matters. Although we cannot give you legal advice, we can provide options and strategies to work through your employment situation, up to and including representing you in court if needed.
Why should I choose Katsui HR and Advocacy?
Ruth Katsui is legally trained and experienced in employment law, but Katsui HR and Advocacy is not a law firm. By choosing us we can offer you services which are grounded in legal experience, but without the high price tag of a traditional law firm.
What is it going to cost?
We offer flexible fees to suit your situation and we work on a “pay what you can afford” philosophy. Our packages include:
Fixed fees for each piece of work;
Pay by the hour (time basis);
Weekly or monthly payment plans or retainers;
Conditional fees for employees (charged at a percentage of the amount you recover from your employer).
We believe that fees should not be a barrier to justice - so get in touch to find out what package we can offer for your situation.
