Ruth Katsui

Barrister and Solicitor
Ruth Katsui (BA/LLB Hons) was admitted to the High Court of Auckland, New Zealand in 2017. Ruth brings her years of experience in employment law and advocacy to serve her clients with honesty, pragmatism and empathy.
After years at traditional firms, Ruth saw the need for a different approach. She founded Katsui Law to enable her to provide flexibility and reasonable cost solutions for both employers and employees, especially those who may not otherwise have access to justice.
Ruth has appeared in court proceedings ranging from the High Court to the Employment Relations Authority and has advised clients from a range of backgrounds. Ruth is bilingual and can provide advice in Japanese and English.
Nobuhisa Katsui
Practice Manager
Nobuhisa is our practice manager, focussing on marketing and Japanese client business development, as well as providing translation and interpretation services.
He combines a deep understanding of Japanese clients' needs with a rare insight into New Zealand business operations and culture.
Our fees
For new employee clients we offer free 30 minute consultation meetings. As part of the meeting, we can talk through you some options and find a payment plan that suits you.
